PayPal has revealed a cybersecurity breach that compromised sensitive customer information for about six months due to a technical error in its loan application system. According to NS3.AI, the exposed data may include personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth. In response, the company is taking measures to protect affected users by resetting passwords, issuing refunds for unauthorized transactions, and offering two years of free credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
