Flights between Hong Kong and various Middle Eastern destinations have been canceled due to the situation in Iran. According to RTHK, the Travel Industry Council noted that travel groups scheduled to depart or return yesterday and today are affected. While specific numbers are not yet available, the council estimates that the number of impacted travel groups is minimal, as the peak Lunar New Year travel season has just concluded.
The Travel Industry Council responded to inquiries, highlighting that Dubai and Doha airports are key transit hubs in the Middle East. The suspension of all flights will affect air traffic to and from Europe. Editor: Chan Hiu Hing
