Israel's Alleged Plan to Assassinate Iran's Supreme Leader Revealed

Israel's Defense Minister Katz disclosed on March 5 that the country had decided to assassinate Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei as early as November last year. According to Jin10, the plan was initially set to be executed around six months later, in the spring of this year. Katz mentioned that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had already begun discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump at that time. However, due to unrest in Iran, Israel believed that Iran was planning a preemptive strike, prompting them to expedite the action. The notion of Iran intending to launch a preemptive attack has also been a frequent justification by the U.S. for potential military action against Iran. Nonetheless, informed sources recently revealed to the media that during a closed-door briefing to the U.S. Congress on March 1, American government officials admitted that there was no intelligence indicating that Iran had planned a preemptive strike against U.S. forces.
