AI Implementation Drives 20% of Global Tech Layoffs, Report Reveals

A recent report by RationalFX indicates that since January, there have been 45,363 tech layoffs globally. According to NS3.AI, approximately 20% of these layoffs are linked to AI implementation and restructuring efforts within companies. The report specifically mentions Block, which has laid off 4,000 employees. It also notes that workers possessing AI skills are earning up to 56% more in wages compared to their counterparts without such skills.
