Hong Kong's real estate market is gradually recovering, according to Ming Pao. Kerry Properties Director and Hong Kong General Manager, Tong Yiu-chung, noted that last year's market was influenced by expectations of interest rate cuts, government policies aimed at reducing market restrictions, and talent attraction strategies. Additionally, the stock market's significant gains contributed to a wealth effect, while rental prices and transaction volumes steadily increased. Despite current geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affecting both the stock and real estate markets slightly, Tong believes that the underlying stability of Hong Kong's real estate market will support continued upward momentum for both sectors.
