Nonghyup Explores Consortium for Won-Backed Stablecoin Strategy

Nonghyup is reportedly considering joining a consortium to issue a won-backed stablecoin. According to NS3.AI, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation has initiated a consulting effort to develop a stablecoin response strategy for its mutual finance division. A Nonghyup official clarified that this initiative aims to adapt to the increasing involvement of banks in stablecoins, rather than launching a direct stablecoin business.
