Iran's First Vice President Calls for Assessment of Cultural Heritage Damage from Recent Attacks

Iran's First Vice President, Eshaq Jahangiri, announced plans to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the damage to Iran's cultural heritage caused by recent attacks attributed to the U.S. and Israel. According to Jin10, Jahangiri made this statement during a conversation with Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi Amiri, on March 26. He emphasized the importance of cultural heritage as a key component of national identity and civilization. Jahangiri has instructed relevant departments to expedite the process of documenting and evaluating the affected historical and cultural sites. Additionally, he called for legal actions at both national and international levels to hold those responsible accountable.
