Category Labs Expands MON Token Purchase Authorization to $80 Million

Category Labs, the development team behind Monad, announced an increase in its authorization for purchasing MON tokens on the open market. According to Foresight News, the authorization has been expanded from a maximum of $30 million to $80 million, with the execution period extended from the first half of 2026 to the end of 2026. Earlier this year, in January, Category Labs had stated its intention to purchase up to $30 million worth of MON tokens on the open market by the first half of 2026. This recent update marks a significant increase in both the amount and the timeframe for the planned purchases.
