Guangzhou Port announced on April 30, 2026, that it expects to handle 2.384 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) in April, marking a 0.5% increase compared to the same period last year. According to Jin10, the port also anticipates a cargo throughput of 51.084 million tons for the month, reflecting a 1.2% year-on-year growth. For the period from January to April 2026, Guangzhou Port estimates a total container throughput of 9.059 million TEUs, up 4.3% from the previous year, and a cargo throughput of 191.26 million tons, representing a 2.7% increase year-on-year.
