According to Odaily, Elon Musk announced on X that Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has frozen Starlink's financial accounts in Brazil. With the municipal elections in Brazil just over a month away, Justice de Moraes and President Lula are reportedly working to shut down X and suppress accounts that disagree with their political views. Given that many remote schools and hospitals in Brazil rely on SpaceX's Starlink, Musk stated that SpaceX will provide free internet service to Brazilian users until the issue is resolved. This decision comes as SpaceX cannot receive payments but does not want to disconnect anyone from the internet.
