The compensation was made in ETH, as there was no secure way to send tokens to the affected addresses. In response, SlowMist's Cosine commented that the full compensation by the Web3 project team for the phishing attack resulting from domain hijacking is a commendable example. He expressed curiosity about the total losses incurred and speculated that if the losses were significant, the compensation rules were likely discussed privately.
