According to PANews, WBTC has released its annual review highlighting significant achievements in 2024. The market capitalization of WBTC reached a peak of $14.3 billion on December 18, with a daily trading volume surpassing $1.01 billion on December 5. The number of daily transactions hit 1.0299 million, accounting for 75.8% of the Ethereum-based Bitcoin token market. Transaction fees were as low as $0.03, and over ten new project integrations were added, expanding to seven new chains, including Base and zkSync, to establish a multi-chain ecosystem. Since its launch in 2019, WBTC has maintained a record of zero security incidents, solidifying its position as a leading tokenized Bitcoin asset in the DeFi ecosystem. Looking ahead to 2025, WBTC aims to continue advancing cross-chain interoperability and fostering innovation in DeFi applications.
