Trump's Digital Wallet Flooded With Hundreds Of Memecoins

According to PANews, within three weeks of U.S. President Donald Trump launching a meme coin, over 700 altcoins and junk coins have been sent to his digital wallet. The official wallet now contains 736 different memecoins. Nearly 200 of these, including names like 'OFFICIAL TRUMP' and 'OFFICIAL MELANIA,' are named after Trump or his family but have no official connection to the president. Among the 192 tokens named after Trump or his family, 167 are altcoins, and 67 use the term 'official' in their names. Additionally, 35 tokens reference 'Elon' or 'Musk,' alluding to Tesla CEO and Trump ally Elon Musk. Unauthorized tokens also target Trump's children, with 30 mentioning Barron, 26 mentioning Ivanka, and 10 mentioning Eric. Eswar Prasad, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, commented that Trump's involvement in meme coins has 'opened the floodgates for deception and rampant speculation,' warning that ordinary investors purchasing these coins face significant risks.
