Hong Kong Explores Tokenization in Green Bonds and ETFs

According to PANews, at the inauguration ceremony of the Hong Kong Digital Asset Listing Companies Association, Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Joseph Chan, highlighted the government's ongoing efforts in tokenization. Three years ago, the Hong Kong government began actively issuing green bonds annually. Moving forward, there are plans to regularize the issuance of these bonds and explore tokenization applications in various sectors, including renewable energy. Additionally, the Hong Kong government intends to implement measures to explore tokenization methods for ETFs already listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This initiative aims to further attract investor participation.
