Mastercard's Approach to Cryptocurrency Integration Remains Consistent

According to Foresight News, Grégory Raymond shared on social media that Christian Rau, Mastercard's Head of Crypto for Europe, recently discussed the company's stance on cryptocurrency in an interview. Rau emphasized that Mastercard is closely monitoring crypto assets but remains committed to its longstanding strategy. He stated, "Our strategy has not changed in 50 years: enabling people to pay safely and compliantly, and allowing businesses to receive payments. Cryptocurrency is part of this logic. We are not aiming to completely overhaul the system but to enhance it." Rau highlighted the importance of interoperability with existing solutions, noting that if current options do not meet their needs, Mastercard might consider developing its own solutions.
