▌Coinbase has signed a pre-registration commitment with Canadian regulators
Coinbase stated in its latest blog post that it signed an enhanced pre-registration commitment with Canadian regulators on March 24 and appointed former Shopify executive Lucas Matheson as its Canadian director. Matheson previously spent five years at Shopify where he led operations and strategic expansion. He will manage more than 200 engineers at Coinbase.
According to previous news, the encryption exchange Kraken has also submitted a pre-registration commitment to the Ontario Securities Commission, Canada, and promised to comply with stricter regulations set by the Canadian Securities Administration (CSA).

▌Three Arrows Capital Co-founder Kyle Davies was ordered to respond to the subpoena within 2 weeks
According to a ruling by the U.S. bankruptcy court, Kyle Davies, co-founder of Three Arrows Capital (3AC), has two weeks to respond to a subpoena related to the books and records of the bankrupt hedge fund.
The court has determined that service of the subpoena via Twitter was "satisfactory and due process." It is understood Davies and Zhu Su were ordered to appear in court in the British Virgin Islands on May 22. The court said this week that they would be held in contempt of court if they did not respond to the request.
▌SBF pleads not guilty to all 13 charges
FTX founder SBF pleaded not guilty to all federal charges against him, including the bribery charges announced last week. SBF's attorney, Mark Cohen, told reporters he intends to file a motion to mitigate some of the charges and ask the court not to try SBF on all counts based on the argument that SBF cannot go to trial on his post-extradition charges.
It is unclear whether the court will grant the motion. SBF's trial is scheduled to begin in October. He also faces civil charges brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
▌Foreign media: Justin Sun is no longer a Grenada diplomat
According to the Grenada Broadcasting Network, at some point after the elections to be held in June 2022, Sun Yuchen will no longer be a diplomat in Grenada, when the political party that granted him the position was removed.
Although Sun Yuchen has not publicly acknowledged his lost position, there has been media speculation that he may no longer serve as a Grenada diplomat.
▌Singapore court approves restructuring plan of cryptocurrency exchange Zipmex
The Singapore High Court has approved a restructuring of Thai cryptocurrency exchange Zipmex, paving the way for customers to withdraw their deposits.
According to an update on Zipmex's website on Thursday, the court approved the creation of an "administrative convenience class" for creditors with wallet assets of up to $5,000. Zipmex's request to extend creditor protection by three weeks to April 23 was also granted.
