According to SoSoValue data, as of January 19, 2025 (Eastern Time), global listed companies (excluding mining companies) saw a net purchase of $2.15 billion in Bitcoin last week. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) announced on January 15th that it invested $2.125 billion to acquire 22,305 Bitcoins at a price of $95,284, bringing its total holdings to 709,715. Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase any Bitcoin last week. In addition, two other companies purchased Bitcoin last week. Daily food content creation company DayDayCook announced on January 15th that it invested $17.8 million to acquire 200 Bitcoins at a price of $88,998, bringing its total holdings to 1,383. On January 16th, the UK-based Bitcoin reserve company BHODL announced an investment of $100,000, acquiring one Bitcoin at a price of $97,800, bringing its total holdings to 159,295 Bitcoins. As of press time, the total number of Bitcoins held by publicly listed companies worldwide (excluding mining companies) is 959,810, with a current market value of approximately $87.32 billion, representing 4.8% of Bitcoin's circulating market capitalization.
