Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, wrote on the X platform that the recent returns of the silver ETF SLV have been "outrageously good," but inflows have been quite limited, attracting only about $1 billion in the past six months. Investors should be aware of the risks. In contrast, the BlackRock Bitcoin Spot ETF IBIT, despite a price pullback of about 24%, still recorded more than $6 billion in net inflows. This is a "very positive" sign for the long-term prospects of Bitcoin, because any ordinary ETF can attract funds when the market is favorable, but a truly "hardcore" ETF is one that can consistently attract inflows during a prolonged period of difficulty.
