Coinbase CEO: Companies will be able to conduct IPOs entirely on-chain in the future.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated in an article on the X platform that there is a current need to make it easier for private companies to access capital. The surge in demand from large private companies reflects the negative consequences of increased regulation. Currently, companies tend to remain private for extended periods, leading to profits flowing to private or credit investors, often resulting in poor post-IPO stock performance and a lack of liquidity in the early stages of their lifecycle to establish reasonable valuations. Ultimately, companies will be able to conduct public offerings entirely on-chain, which will significantly reduce costs, friction, and improve accessibility.
