Notion Completes $270 Million Private Equity Deal Valued at $11 Billion

Notion has announced the completion of a private equity tender offer totaling approximately $270 million, valuing the company at $11 billion. According to PANews, the transaction involved new investor Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, along with existing investors Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures, who acquired shares directly from current and former employees. The company stated that the acquisition aims to provide financial liquidity for employees, supporting their long-term development and life planning. To facilitate this, Notion has removed the one-year vesting period for employee options, allowing nearly all employees to participate. In 2025, Notion experienced accelerated growth due to the adoption of AI features, with over 50% of its annual recurring revenue by year-end coming from AI clients, a figure that doubled over the past year. Recently, the company opened an office in Singapore to support its rapid expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
