Robinhood invests in crypto trading platform Talos, valuing the company at $1.5 billion.

Robinhood (HOOD) announced its participation in Talos's Series B extended funding round. This $45 million funding round brings Talos's total Series B funding to $150 million, valuing the company at approximately $1.5 billion. New strategic investors include Sony Innovation Fund, IMC, QCP, and Karatage, while existing shareholders a16z crypto, BNY, and Fidelity Investments continued to participate. Talos primarily provides crypto trading lifecycle technology to institutional investors and banks, managing approximately $21 trillion in assets. This funding will help Talos deepen its blockchain strategy and expand its M&A activities. Previously, Talos acquired Cloudwall (risk management), Skolem (institutional-grade DeFi), D3X Systems (portfolio building), and Coin Metrics, valued at over $100 million.
