Analysis: Bitcoin has pulled back by over 40%, but spot ETFs saw outflows of only 6.6%.

Despite Bitcoin's more than 40% drop from its October high, spot Bitcoin ETFs have shown considerable resilience. Eric Balchunas noted that only about 6.6% of ETF assets experienced net outflows during the same period, significantly lower than the crypto market's previous reactions to similar declines. He pointed out that ETF investors typically allocate 1%–2% of their portfolios to Bitcoin, unlike the highly leveraged or concentrated structure of native crypto traders, thus favoring long-term holding. Balchunas believes that the ETF structure will likely continue to anchor Bitcoin within the framework of traditional financial assets, and short-term volatility does not equate to the end of the trend.
