Eight countries' foreign ministers have issued a joint statement strongly condemning Israel's recent illegal expansion policies in the West Bank. According to RTHK, the statement reaffirms that Israel holds no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories. The countries involved are Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
The foreign ministers criticized Israel's illegal activities, including the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, stating that these actions blatantly violate international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions. They warned that such policies undermine the two-state solution and increase the risk of regional violence and conflict.
The ministers called on the international community to pressure Israel to halt its dangerous escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
