Today, Robinhood announced the launch of its public testnet and selected Chainlink as the oracle platform for Robinhood Chain. Robinhood Chain is a financial-grade Ethereum Layer 2 network built on Arbitrum, designed to support real-world assets. Developers can leverage Chainlink's data, interoperability, and compliance standards to build advanced tokenization use cases on Robinhood Chain. Nicola White, Vice President of Robinhood Crypto Institutions, stated at the Hong Kong Consensus that institutions have been exploring processes and procedures for decades, and we are working to help them leap to the next level of technology and innovation. Therefore, Robinhood believes in starting from the infrastructure level, focusing on enabling institutions to achieve higher levels of technological innovation, building confidence in on-chain issuance, and becoming accustomed to processes such as DvP and atomic settlement. The integration of DeFi with institutions will take longer at the application level. Some best practice tools need to be introduced into this space to alleviate some of their fears about DeFi and to truly understand the benefits and efficiency of related products.
