In its 2025 annual report, Stripe stated that its platform generated $1.9 trillion in transactions last year, a 34% increase from 2024, representing approximately 1.6% of global GDP. Programmable financial services directly or through the platform supported over 5 million businesses, including numerous top AI companies, 90% of the blue-chip companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 80% of the technology companies in the Nasdaq 100, and approximately 25% of newly registered companies in Delaware (all created through Stripe Atlas). Link, a simple online payment method, reached over 200 million users. Furthermore, Stripe launched over 350 product updates throughout the year and completed two significant acquisitions: Privy, which powers over 110 million programmable wallets, and Metronome, which provides complex usage-based billing models for companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Confluent, and NVIDIA. Metronome has been added to the platform's revenue suite and is projected to generate $1 billion in annual revenue this year. The company also launched claimable sandbox environments that can be used directly in AI development tools (such as Manus, Base44, Replit, and Vercel), with over 100,000 sandboxes created to date; the number of company registrations on Stripe Atlas increased by 41% year-on-year, with 20% of Atlas startups making their first payment within 30 days.
