Blockchain security firm BlockSec has identified an imitation attack on FOOMCASH contracts on the Base and Ethereum networks. According to PANews, the attack mirrors a previous vulnerability found in Veil Cash, where attackers exploited a verification key configuration error to forge zkSNARK proofs. This breach has resulted in a cumulative loss of approximately $2.26 million. On the Base network, a single attack transaction led to a loss of around $427,000, while transactions on the Ethereum network, amounting to about $1.83 million, are suspected to be white hat rescue operations.
