The World Bank Group announced that, through its International Finance Corporation (IFC), it will invest US$40 million (approximately RM155.6 million) in digital infrastructure company Zetrix AI. The new funds will support the development and promotion of new blockchain-based deep information capture (DPI) applications and artificial intelligence (AI) products, thereby improving digital inclusion, service access, and economic efficiency in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region. The investment will also explore cross-border practical applications of blockchain and AI in areas such as digital identity, customs clearance processes, large language models, and stablecoins.
