Türkiye's ruling party has proposed a 10% tax on cryptocurrency gains.

Turkey's ruling AK Party has submitted a comprehensive economic bill to parliament aimed at formally establishing a cryptocurrency tax regime. The bill proposes a quarterly withholding tax of 10% on the earnings of crypto platforms regulated under the Capital Markets Law, regardless of investor identity or place of residence. Additionally, the bill proposes a 0.03% transaction tax on service providers facilitating transactions. The Turkish president will have the authority to adjust the withholding tax rate between 0% and 20% based on token type, holding duration, issuing entity, or wallet type. If approved, the crypto-related provisions will take effect two months after publication.
