According to the announcement from Binance, the platform will extend its Monitoring Tag to include additional tokens and remove the Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag for selected tokens on 2026-03-06. The tokens to be added to the Monitoring Tag list include Contentos (COS), Dego Finance (DEGO), Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH), FUNToken (FUN), Hooked Protocol (HOOK), Loopring (LRC), MOBOX (MBOX), Orchid (OXT), and dogwifhat (WIF). Meanwhile, Flow (FLOW) will be removed from the Monitoring Tag list, and Ondo (ONDO) and Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) will be removed from the Seed Tag list.
Tokens with the Monitoring Tag are characterized by higher volatility and risks compared to other listed tokens. These tokens undergo regular reviews to ensure they meet Binance's listing criteria. Users wishing to trade tokens marked with the Monitoring Tag or Seed Tag must pass a quiz every 90 days on the Binance Spot and/or Binance Margin platforms and accept the Terms of Use. This quiz is designed to ensure users are aware of the risks associated with these tokens. Monitoring Tags and Seed Tags can be found on the Binance Spot and Binance Margin trading pages, as well as on the Markets Overview page, where a risk warning banner will also be displayed.
Binance will conduct periodic project reviews to determine if the Monitoring Tag and Seed Tag should be added or removed based on criteria such as the commitment of the team to the project, development activity, trading volume, network stability, public communication, and evidence of unethical conduct. Other services related to the mentioned tokens will remain unaffected. The updates to the Monitoring Tags and Seed Tags will be implemented shortly after the announcement's publication.
