Yu Xian, founder of SlowMist, wrote on the X platform: "Those who don't trust OpenClaw's stability or resilience, but are quite confident in Claude Code, which is one of the core goals of software engineering. In terms of security, both companies attach great importance to security, and submitted vulnerabilities receive timely feedback. Some OpenClaw forks or reference versions are much less proactive in terms of security. In terms of security scenarios, although OpenClaw also has a Sandbox mechanism and attempts to make more granular designs on tool permissions, as its name 'OpenClaw' suggests, 'open' is its greatest charm. An OpenClaw that is too restrictive is not an OpenClaw. Everyone wants it to be free and controllable, which is the point of contention. But in a real production environment, an overly free OpenClaw is prone to getting out of control."
