Russia Condemns Attack on Consulate in Iran, Calls for Diplomatic Safety

She revealed that on March 8, an attack occurred on the administrative building in Isfahan, Iran, which resulted in damage to the nearby Russian consulate. Zakharova emphasized that attacks on diplomatic and consular institutions are blatant violations of fundamental international legal documents, including the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Russia demands that all parties ensure the safety of diplomatic personnel and urges conflicting parties to cease military confrontations and return to negotiations.
