The International Energy Agency (IEA) has proposed releasing its largest-ever oil reserves to curb soaring crude prices due to the ongoing conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. According to Jin10, officials have indicated that the proposed release would exceed the 182 million barrels deployed by IEA member countries during the 2022 Russia-Ukraine conflict. The proposal was discussed at an emergency meeting of energy officials from the IEA's 32 member countries on Tuesday. A decision is expected by Wednesday, with the plan set to proceed unless any member country objects, which could delay implementation.
