Iraq's Kurdish authorities have refuted claims from Baghdad regarding their refusal to export crude oil through regional pipelines. According to Jin10, the Iraqi Oil Ministry accused the Kurdish Regional Government of blocking the use of a pipeline as an alternative route for crude oil transport disrupted by the Iran conflict, alleging that arbitrary conditions were imposed by the Kurdish authorities. In response, the Kurdish Regional Government's Ministry of Natural Resources stated that the Oil Ministry's remarks misrepresented the situation and overlooked the security and economic challenges faced by the region's oil industry. The ministry highlighted repeated attacks on oil and gas infrastructure, which have led to production disruptions. It accused unlawful militias of targeting all oil, gas, and energy facilities in the Kurdistan region and criticized Baghdad for failing to implement effective measures to prevent these attacks. The ministry concluded that due to these terrorist attacks, production has been halted, leaving no oil available for export.
