Bitrefill Cyberattack Exposes Thousands of Purchase Records

Bitrefill has revealed a cyberattack that is believed to have started on March 1, compromising 18,500 purchase records. According to NS3.AI, the incident shares characteristics with attacks by North Korea's Lazarus Group. The attackers managed to drain some hot wallets and conducted suspicious transactions with vendors. However, Bitrefill has not disclosed the total amount lost. Approximately 1,000 records are at a higher risk of revealing encrypted customer names.
