Following the six major state-owned banks and 10 other banks, 12 more commercial banks are expected to connect to the central bank's digital yuan system. It is understood that seven national joint-stock banks—Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Guangdong Development Bank, Huaxia Bank, China Minsheng Bank, CITIC Bank, China Everbright Bank, and Zhejiang Commercial Bank—and five local city commercial banks—Jiangsu Bank, Bank of Beijing, Bank of Ningbo, Bank of Nanjing, and Bank of Suzhou—are likely to join.
