Gold and silver prices generally fell, while cryptocurrency volatility rose, with both the BVIX and EVIX increasing by more than 1%.

In the foreign exchange market, the USD/CNH exchange rate rose 0.31% to 6.89961. The USD/JPY exchange rate rose 0.51% to 159.615. In global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 fell 2.15% to 5,608.13 points; the UK FTSE 100 fell 0.79% to 10,337.09 points; and the German DAX 40 fell 2.21% to 22,801.63 points. In commodities, WTI crude oil rose 13.45% to $112.73 per barrel.
