A group of former OpenAI employees have jointly launched a venture capital fund, Zero Shot, with a target size of $100 million. It has already raised approximately $20 million in its first round and completed several investments. The fund was initiated by Evan Morikawa, Andrew Mayne, Shawn Jain, and others, with participation from Kelly Kovacs and Brett Rounsaville. Invested projects include enterprise automation platform Worktrace AI and robotics company Foundry Robotics. The team stated that they will focus on AI areas with long-term potential, while maintaining a cautious approach to certain sectors, including the "vibe coding" platform and robot video data training.
