Anthropic has agreed to lease data center capacity from CoreWeave to address the growing demand for its AI services. CoreWeave said in a statement Friday that the multi-year agreement will help Anthropic build and deploy its Claude AI model. CoreWeave CEO Anthony Interrato said the agreement will include multiple Nvidia chip architectures within U.S. data centers. The two companies declined to disclose the financial terms of the agreement. Like OpenAI, Anthropic has been at the forefront of the AI services boom, sometimes facing what it calls “unprecedented demand” that has made it difficult to keep its products online. Earlier this week, Anthropic announced partnerships with Broadcom and Google to acquire 3.5 gigawatts of energy (1 gigawatt of electricity is enough to power approximately 750,000 U.S. homes simultaneously).
