AI programming tool company Cursor is close to completing a new round of financing, aiming to raise at least $2 billion, bringing its pre-money valuation to $50 billion. This round is expected to be led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from strategic investors including Nvidia, and Battery Ventures potentially joining as a new investor. If successfully completed, the company's valuation will significantly increase from approximately $29.3 billion six months ago. In terms of revenue, Cursor's annualized revenue was approximately $2 billion in February of this year, and it projects it will exceed $6 billion by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, through self-developed models and optimized cost structure, the company has achieved positive gross profit margins in some business segments. (TechCrunch)
