U.S. House Republicans Plan to Create Subcommittee on Digital Assets, FinTech and Inclusion

According to Politico, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to establish a new subcommittee dedicated to cryptocurrencies to regulate and legislate around the crypto industry. The subcommittee on digital assets, financial technology and inclusion will be chaired by Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.), who will also lead a Republican effort to explore the feasibility of a central bank digital currency. Another House member, Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio), will serve as vice chair of the subcommittee.
