More than 15 protocols have temporarily suspended the LayerZero OFT cross-chain bridge function as a precautionary measure following an attack on Kelp DAO's rsETH cross-chain bridge, which resulted in losses of approximately $2.92 billion. According to Foresight News, the affected protocols include Ethena, TRON DAO, ApeCoin/ApeChain, ether.fi, mETH Protocol, Solv Protocol, MOCA Foundation, River, f(x) Protocol, Re, cap, Agora, Avant, Flare, and Euler Labs. These protocols have emphasized that they have no direct exposure to rsETH and that user assets remain secure. The suspension is expected to be temporary.
In addition, protocols such as Aave V3/V4, SparkLend, Lido (earnETH), and Fluid have implemented measures to freeze rsETH-related markets or vaults as part of chain risk control, without suspending bridge functions. The protocols are actively monitoring the situation and advise users with exposure to rsETH or LayerZero to stay updated with official project announcements.
