A South Korean forgery ring is reportedly selling counterfeit official documents through Telegram, prioritizing payments in cryptocurrency or digital gift cards. According to ChainCatcher, DL News has revealed that the group offers fake Yonsei University diplomas for approximately $200, enrollment certificates for around $100, and counterfeit diplomas from overseas universities for about $341.
The report highlights that the ring also provides forged materials such as driver's licenses, proof of family relationships, certificates of no criminal record, and bank loan documents. South Korean police have noted a significant increase in arrests related to forgery cases, with numbers nearly doubling from 2021 to 2023.
