Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga said on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for a potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey. Speaking to the Ukrainian National News Agency on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Sibiga said Turkey is capable of achieving “truly unprecedented and unique successes” in diplomacy. “We have called on Turkey to consider organizing a meeting at the level of Zelensky and Putin, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump may also participate,” Sibiga said. He stated that Ukraine, including Zelensky, is prepared for such a meeting, adding that Kyiv has put forward “practical proposals.” They are hoping for a Turkish role, believing that Turkey “can participate in and accelerate” the peace process surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
