Re, a decentralized reinsurance protocol, has transitioned its deposit token reUSD's cross-chain infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP, adopting it as the sole cross-chain solution. According to Foresight News, Re cited several reasons for choosing Chainlink CCIP, including its use of decentralized oracle network (DON) as a default security mechanism, redundancy verification by 16 independent node operators for each bridge channel, and a built-in native rate limit circuit breaker. Additionally, Chainlink CCIP has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification. Previously, Kelp DAO and Solv Protocol also adopted Chainlink CCIP cross-chain infrastructure following the Kelp DAO attack incident.
