China's Listed Companies Association said on August 31 that 5,557 listed companies in China's onshore stock market had disclosed their 2026 half-year reports by that date, according to Jiemian News. In the first half, the market's listed companies generated 37.76 trillion yuan in revenue, up 7.6% year on year, and 3.58 trillion yuan in net profit, up 19.5%. The association said second-quarter revenue reached 19.92 trillion yuan and net profit 1.95 trillion yuan, with both growth rates faster than in the first quarter. It added that three-quarters of companies were profitable, 60% posted revenue growth, 40% posted net profit growth, and 2,015 companies increased both revenue and profit.
