Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Wins Approval For Ruxolitinib Phosphate Tablets

Shanghai Pharmaceuticals (02607) said its Changzhou pharmaceutical plant has received a drug registration certificate from China's National Medical Products Administration, allowing production of ruxolitinib phosphate tablets in 5 mg, 15 mg and 20 mg strengths. The drug is indicated for myelofibrosis and for patients aged 12 and above with acute or chronic graft-versus-host disease who have had an inadequate response to glucocorticoids or other systemic therapies. The company filed the marketing registration application in December 2024 and had spent about RMB24.81 million on research and development as of the announcement date, according to ETNet. IQVIA data showed hospital procurement of ruxolitinib phosphate tablets in mainland China reached RMB716.8 million in 2025. Shanghai Pharmaceuticals said the approval should help expand market share, enhance competitiveness and provide experience for future generic drug filings.
