AI | Mukunda Says Big Tech Can’t Fix Its Own AI Problem

Bill Gates, Microsoft Corp. co-founder, said in a 6,000-word essay on Aug. 26 that he would slow artificial intelligence development if he could, according to Bloomberg. In an interview with the New York Times, he said people who understand how capable the technology is are worried, but few are raising the issue publicly. The article also cited a bipartisan coalition of 51 attorneys general announcing a proposed settlement with Meta Platforms Inc. that would require tighter restrictions on how children use Facebook and Instagram.
