Bitdeer Acquires Texas Land for AI and HPC Data Center Expansion

Bitdeer Technologies Group, a Nasdaq-listed company, said it acquired about 200 acres of undeveloped land in Milam County, Texas, in an all-cash deal worth about $100 million. The site is adjacent to its existing Rockdale operations and will support the development of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure. According to Foresight News, the purchase gives Bitdeer full ownership of the land and removes lease renewal risk, providing site control for financing and high-density data center development. After the transaction, Bitdeer’s total land area in central Milam County increased to about 255 acres. The property is in an area with established power interconnection infrastructure and currently has about 563 megawatts of connected power capacity, which is expected to rise to 742 megawatts after expansion plans are completed. The company said the new site will be used to build a dedicated AI and HPC data center without affecting its existing Bitcoin mining operations. Following the expansion, Bitdeer’s global power pipeline across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa totals about 3.0 gigawatts.
