Japan’s Four Major Carmakers’ U.S. Sales Fell 2.4% in August

Japan’s four major automakers reported combined U.S. new-vehicle sales of 446,315 units in August, down 2.4% from a year earlier, according to Jiemian News. Toyota sold 215,556 vehicles, down 4.4% year on year; Honda sold 133,996, up 1.0%; Subaru sold 62,028, up 1.3%; and Mazda sold 34,735, down 8.9%.
