According to The Block, the first cryptocurrency fund of Boston-based Escape Velocity, founded by former Goldman Sachs employees, has received $25 million in investment commitments. Investors include the founders of a16z, Castle Island Ventures and Framework Ventures, as well as Apollo Senior Partner at Global Management. The founder of the fund, Mahesh Ramakrishnan, said that the investment scale will be between US$250,000 and US$1 million, the funds will be deployed within three years, and about 1/3 of the funds will be used for follow-up investments. The fund has made five investments so far, including Xnet and Andrena.
